It has been ages since i blogged. Life has been really really fast and busy for me and totally FANTASTIC! Let me begin with how my easter break went...
Went to Jerveys Bay, got in touch with nature and God's creation. A pity we can't see much of a valley or mountain in singapore, or even cows and horses grazing at the grass just a few metres away. Kayaking was absolutely fantastic and as i looked at all the magnificent houses that were built beside the river, it really makes me think about retirement. GREAT! Thats just too early to think about, but at least it gives me certain inspiration to my marketing project on pensioners insurance. What a life! Jerveys Bay was good.
Servants' Retreat was even better. Pastor Allan Webb was just such a good speaker and he really challenged me certain ideas about leadership and servanthood, not just that but as a disciple for christ. I remembered he once said that Followship is a life-long calling. Thats like such a DUH question, but think about the implications of this sentence? The cost of Discipleship and taking up the cross is for life, it is not easy to follow indeed.
Today, lead my first bible study. The feeling at first was somehow that of nervousness accompanied by afraidness. Afraid that i will not be able to present God's teaching accurately but i am so thankful to God that i have Tony in my group. Thanks bro, you really helped me alot and thanks for the encouragement. Not forgetting Leanne. If you reading this, thanks for the encouragement, it really encouraged me alot. If i did it right, it is only because of God. Well, as i was reflecting on the lesson learnt in today's bible study, it dawned on me how God really seeks our obedience.
Went for swimming after that with Jiamin, Sam and Tricia.. and we found out that we are super super unfit...Right Tricia? I think it is time to start planning my fitness scheme. Jing for Healthier Living too!
