What exactly is the basis for life?

Many have believed that the basis for life is Love! I am starting to believe in that too. A loveless man is nothing but a living corpse, dead and purposeless. How many times have we seen on the papers about people commiting suicide due to rejection my some lover of theirs, students who slit that wrists as they felt friendless, unloved. Why is always due to LOVE?
So What exactly is true love? Finding that perfect Mr. Right? or just hanging out with the coolies in school just to be Miss Popular so that everyone around adores and worship you? or myabe it is being Daddy's favourite girl? Still does it really give us satisfaction when we have all the above? so then Why am i still left unsatisfied? I have totally given up on even trying to be noticed in school or even be an extreme nerd so that my parents will adore me. Standing around and just waiting for the right moment for the right person to come knocking on my door is way out of the question for me now. None have given me enough satisfaction in life. Life is just a bore!
I never really understood what God is love meant. I know it means that God loves us infintely. God is true love, however this is something that i can't hold on to. I know he is love but i want to be able to touch, to see, to hear, to feel, to taste this sweet love of God! During sermon today, i finally truly understood the meaning of true love. The love that many have spent their whole life in search for, some have succeeded, some have failed to find an answer or even rejected the answer. Jesus gave us 2 greatest commandment. 1) Love your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. 2) Love your neighbour as yourself. An interesting commandment isn't it. True Love comes from loving your neighbour as yourself as well. God is love, god gave us love so that we can love one another through fellowshiping and serving others. God made woman from man in the beginning. Although God and man had perfect fellopwship, he saw the need for man to have a helper. Our need for others in partnership is God-given. He made other human so that we can love them. Thats what truly give life satisfaction, by loving and caring for another just like ourselves.
It is hard isn't it. What an easy commandment to remember but yet it is so hard to act upon. True love ins't easy and it doesn't come easy too. Afterall i am just a human. As long as i do what i can do now at the moment, i will have already done my part. Loving is indeed difficult but who said being a christian was all so easy anyway?
