Thanks shimei for the wonderful dinner yesterday. Oh man, it was just amazing! A victorian style restaurant with meditteranean food. I will never forget the whole out look of it. Yesterday, i felt like i was brought back to the past, during the victorian times where people wear puffy skirts. thankfully the theme for the night was GOLD, to match the elegance of the entire place and not victoiran. HAHA! I dun want to walk around king cross in big puffy skirts and corsets.
Went to uni today and there was a HUGE rally to keep the union and stop VSU (voluteer student union). Went to wentworth building and all the shops operating by the union were shut, gee life is bad without the union. Being curious and excited, i went for my very first rally at the front lawn at 12pm. Massive people gathered and students and teachers were making speeches. 'No penalties for those who skipped classes from 12-2' was what one of the professors shouted. WOW! It is indeed a bid thing after all. Rallies are so much fun,i wonder why don't NUS have one against the government state. I know.. thats because they are so pro-government. For the sake of my uni life i have decided to join in the march against the state's pending rule (VSU). The march started off from the uni and marched all the way around to pick up students at UTS, UNSW and the other uni students in new south wales. For once, we could walk on the roads and screaming...' VSU is not our choice, give the students back their voice!' Traffic have to stopped cos the roads were just clogged up with students and reporters were busy taking photos and stuff. Thousands of studnets joined in the march and the roads were just clogged with pple and there were massive jams. Cars were honking as we walked down the roads supporting our rally. It was just fantastic.... I just simply love rally!
