HAPPY NATIONAL DAY SINGAPORE!

HOw many times have i read my favourite book back to back? Many times! How many times have i read the bible back to back? I am sad to admit, NO, not even once. ( and it is somethin i am not proud of) Its funny isn't it, when we have time to read the bible for our subjects that we are taking (textbooks) or even the most interesting story book many times but yet we just don't have enough time to even read the bible, one chapter a day.
I was asked just recently if i read the bible regularly. Well, the truth is i don't but i TRIED! Excuses, like i am tired, i will do it later (and the later never comes) or i am just too busy for it. The bottom line is, i am just lazy and making excuses just take the guilt away. But is reading the bible regularly that important? I know of people who read the bible regularly, and even knows it back to back but yet they don't believe in anything that is written in it. I guess now the question is not whether i read the bible regularly but i think it should be, how much passion and hunger and desire we have to know the lord's word. For with this passion and hunger for it that we will have the discipline and perserverance to challenge ourselves to read his word's regularly.
Today i am challenged to read with passion and having a greater desire to learn more. I will no longer give an excuse and say i am to busy, i will read it in my free time. For time is free short and precious. As said in Psalsms 39:4-6, the time we have in life is short and worldly treasures are things we can't have for eternity. I wanna start building up by riches in heaven and not neglect what is truly important. The hope that is stored up for us in heaven.
