Sorry people for that long update. This must be the long awaited update for some of you!
Have been really busy these few weeks. Sorry! You guys know how busy uni life can be yea.
Ok straight to the point.
Easter Holidays
It was great. Really need that 1 week of holidays. Somehow, that 1 week passed by really fast. Well my week started with going to church on friday and didn't do much after that other than watching DVDs which my sweet housemate AMY (aussie girl) lent it to us to watch when we were bored. My friend came over to cook tea eggs to bring over to this OCF party. On saturday, went to glebe point and flemigton market with my cousin. All the WINDOW shopping and stuff. just great! DEcided to start on my VCD serial watching marathon with my friend JOY at my house and waited till 12 midnight to wash my clothes. (cheaper after 12 midnight).
Followed by a trip to the Royal Easter Show at sydney olympic park. It was so great. you guys should have been there. There were like heaps of people and heaps of animals as well. Fireworks were the best. and there was this pig race and the diving pig! Never knew that pigs could run and dive, i thought they just sit and eat and sleep and roll in mud like the pigs which became AIR PORK. There was also the balloon blowing donkey. The best were the stunts by the daredevils where they had like cars performing stunts and motorists jumping off their motorcycles and getting on again. Wished i could post up pictures..however it is tooo expensive to post.
Well it didn't end there... went to MANLY BEACH the next day. It had been a long time since i went for a tan. the beaches there are just the best compared to those in singapore. However, suphon (thai room mate) was telling me that thai beaches are better. Man, i am so getting there. Back to the point. Saw some surf dudes and chicks. Waves are really waves and the sand and scenary is breath-taking. Blue water is a common sight and i almost tried tasting the water to see if it is fresh water. The water is spreaded out wide across the sand so it is like shallow water for like 10 metres. so from far, you look like you are walking on water. wait a min. it is walking on water. But it is so cool!You guys just have to see it for yourself! Had fish and chips that were fresh from the sea. Parasailing was up next. Just one word for it. SHIOK! Was taken up by this big parachute and as the boat speed, we flew up in the air and when it slowed down, we were dipped into the sea and we went up again. After the first dipped, me and my partner learnt a lesson - never open your mouth and shout or talk while being dipped into the water. Had a few mouthful of very very salty water and it isn't a good feeling i tell you!
After the long 2 days or so..i got all sun burnt and on wednesday, had soccer training. Was fun..have been a long time since i started doing sports. All the tim tams have to be burnt! Right after soccer, i had pizza. Now the old must go for the new to come.
After playing hard..it was only right to get down to serious work. so i STUDIED! no joke. My housemates Lati (fijian girl) and Suphon decided to start studying so i joined in and we were all studying till like 3 am in the morning. It was all good having company. In that short span on 1 week i actually set the fire alarm off 2 or rather the smoke alarm off. It is like super sensitive and super slow! Sometimes it just beep for no reason and i tell you, it is not fun to hear it beep continuosly for like 20 mins at 2 am in the morning when you are getting ready for school the next day. The security guard had to come and check if we were all safe and good. Well we were all good and sleeping until the fire alarm went off and woke the 3 of us up in the middle of the night! so the question is, who set the alarm off? it has been a mystery till this date.
Went for a jap crusine on saturady night. Fabulous! BUT they don't have chawamushi. SOBZ!! who can DHL over? WEnt for a gelato after dinner...have you guys had apple and ginger gelato or pineapple and pepper gelato? DOn't put yourself to torture if you haven't!
Got to get back to studying. Have like 2 quizzes tommorrow!
