I went to church on saturday and they were talking about love, purity and unity as one body of christ. The pastor was just saying about how we should live a pure and holy life. I happened to read this passage in one of the leaflets and i am going to make this my prayer for this year. I hope it will be yours too:

Today i will make a difference by Max Lucado
I will begin by controlling my thoughts. A person is the product of his thoughts. I want to be happy and hopeful. Therefore, i will think thoughts that are happy and hopeful. I refused to be victimized by my circumstances. I will not let petty inconveniences such as stoplights, long lines and traffic jams be my masters. I will avoid negativism and gossip. Optimism will be my companion. and victory will be my hallmark. TOday, i will make a difference.
I will be grateful for the twenty four hours that are before me. Time is a precious comodity. I refuse to allow what little time i have to be contaminated in self pity, fear or boredom. I will face this day with the joy of a child and th courage of a giant. I will drink each minute as though it is my last. When tommorow comes, today will be gone forever. While it is here, i will use it for a loving and giving. Today, i will make a difference,
I will not let past failures haunt me. Even though my life is scarred with mistakes, i refuse to rummage through my tarsh heap of failures,. I will admit them. I will correct them. I will press on...victoriously. No failure is fatal. It's OK to stumble..I will get up. It's OK to fail..i will rise again. TOday, i will make a difference.
I will spend time with those i love. My spouse, my children, my family. A person can own the world and be poor for the lack of love. A human can own nothing and be wealthy in relationships. Tday i will spend at least 5 minutes with the people who are significant in my world. Five quality minutes of talking and hugging or thanking or listening. 5 undiluted minutes with my mate, children, friends.
Today i will make a difference.
So, today, i choose to love. When people snub me, or undervalue me, i have chosen to keep giving and loving. oi will not have my life, its deeds and flavour determined by how others treat me. With God's help, i will love like He loves. i have the power to choose , and i choose to love, to forgive, to be thankful, to appreciate what others are doing, what other are going through. With His strength, I can do great things.

So, today, i will make a difference.
